10 Places To Travel To Before They Disappear
An old saying goes, “the only thing constant is change”. It’s true, the world is changing all the time and Earth has seen so much it’s hard to even imagine. However, today scientists are worried that things change even faster than they used to. Booming population, pollution… humans are changing the world around them drastically. Some places will feel the impact very soon. Here’s a list of ten of them.
The Maldives
The lowest nation in the world - over 80 percent of the 1,200 islands that make up the Maldives are less than one meter above sea level. No wonder that the unique island group is currently endangered by the rising waters of the oceans of the globe. The circumstances have become so dire that the President has announced the federal government will begin buying land in other nations for its citizens. It is predicted that within only one century, the Maldives will cease to exist for human habitation.
Madagascar
One of the most extraordinary places on the planet, Madagascar, is an island with spectacular biodiversity. Many of the plant and animal species that live there can’t be found anywhere else in the world and that makes deforestation, burning, and excessive hunting that’s taking place even more concerning. If these practices continue, the plants and animals that call the island home, will find it hard to survive at all.
