10 Places To Travel To Before They Disappear
Glacier National Park
The 10th most visited national park in the country gathers around 2.3 million people per year but that number may soon become even bigger since people are trying to get the last look at receding glaciers. The park that was shaped by once-giant glaciers is really showing the effects of climate change, said the Northern Rocky Moutain Science Center. Glacier National Park once placed about 150 glaciers but ow there's only 25 of them and some scientists estimate the park could lose all of its large glaciers by 2030 and maybe even sooner.
The Great Barrier Reef
The only living thing that can be seen from outer space is The Great Barrier Reef. It is set off Australia’s east coast and is over 133,000 square miles. This top diving spot could soon become unrecognizable. The water pollution, rising ocean temperatures, illegal fishing and other factors continue to take their toll. It is estimated that the reef could be irreparably changed in the next 20 years unless someone takes drastic measures. If you decide to visit, be sure not to touch the coral and be kind to the environment.
