His beautiful girl played Carol Anne in 1982 movie "Poltergeist" directed by Steven Spielberg and its sequels, "Poltergeist II: The Other Side" and "Poltergeist III." In 1988, while 'Poltergeist III' was in production, Heather suffered flu-like symptoms that were caused by congenital intestinal stenosis. She went into cardiac arrest. Heather died on the operating table. She was only 12 years old.
