Well, actually, his wife, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, was his fifth cousin so maybe it’s not such a huge deal at all. Anna Eleanor’s father was Franklin’s mother’s brother. Franklin and his wife had six children together.

Charles Darwin – the father of the theory of evolution married his first cousin Emma Wedgwood. They had 10 children but sadly three of them died in their early childhood. Darwin was always worried that inbreeding was the cause of his kid’s health problems.
